Do I Need to Revalidate?
Answer a few quick questions to find out if you need to take action before August 2026.
Are you a registered voter in Nigeria?
If you have a PVC or have ever registered with INEC, you are a registered voter.
Understanding the Exercise
What Is the Revalidation Exercise?
Nigeria's voter register was last comprehensively verified in 2011. While new voters have been added in 2015, 2019, and 2024, the biometric data of millions of existing voters is outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is conducting a nationwide Voter Biometric Revalidation Exercise between April and August 2026 to clean and verify the register before the 2027 General Elections.
This is not a new registration. If you already have a Permanent Voter Card (PVC), you are still registered. But you MUST attend a revalidation point during this period to confirm your identity, update your biometric data, and secure your place on the verified register.

What Happens If You Don't Revalidate?
⚠️ Important Warning: Registered voters who do not complete revalidation before the August 2026 deadline will be removed from the verified voter register. You will NOT be able to vote in the 2027 General Elections. Your PVC alone will not be accepted for accreditation.
